Millions

As many of your know the Mega Million jackpot was at $640million. Someone did win it. The ticket was bought in Maryland. Let us set up a scenario: If someone won this(maybe you) and donated a decent portion lets say $100,000,000 where would you donate it to? Would it matter where the donation went if it was a guaranteed thing that possibly an ailment would be cured forever and nearly instant? The funding of the donation is a selfless act and beneficial to whomever receives it.

Here is the story(From BBC News) as of 3/31/2012

  1. Wow, that's a good one. I have no idea where I would put that money, or whether it would go to some sort of relief (food, shelter, etc.) or the cure for a disease. Maybe even towards questionable efforts, like offering a $10M bounty for Joseph Kony--if alive, of course!

I think this calls into mind morality, since $600M could alter politics or buy elections, especially in the developing world...

  2. True that is a dramatic amount of money. With all group projects aside. Would it be more beneficial to put all of that money into research for heart disease, which I believe is the number killer? As it may benefit more people, I would possibly do so(donate it).
