As a HR professional, I see many applicants come in for
interviews and not receive a job offer. You wouldn’t believe the mistakes
people make when coming in for an interview. Searching "interviewing tips" on
Google brings up plenty of results and any of those sites that come up will
give you good common advice that everyone should take.
Iseek.org is a good place to start. They give advice such as
practice for the common questions, make a list of questions to ask in the
interview, and be prepared. Iseek also list reasons (mistakes) why people don’t
get job offers as well.
This is a very resourceful site for anyone who is looking
for job/interview tips, especially if they are going in for their first
interview. Preparation is the biggest component when going into any meeting,
going in prepare will lead to confidence and confidence usually gets people
what they want.
