Fun Post 2: The Amazing Recovery

Just imagine waking up a day before Christmas getting ready to watch a big game you turn on the TV, you have all your family and friends over, eating amazing food, and drinking a ice cold beverage.  The game is intense it's the third quarter they throw the running back the ball on third down to get them another set of downs and he's running for the three yards he needs when all of a sudden the defensive player try's to tackle him down and ended up hitting his knee just right and he went down like a sack of potatoes. The ref measured the run and the running back was short, but wait a minute he's not getting up an injury time out was taken and the coach and trainers ran out to the field the player was in severe pain and was taken to the hospital for an unknown injury. The crowd was shocked, my friends and family were freaking out and wondering what will happen next.

Well some of you might know who I'm talking about, his name is Adrian Peterson and yes he was the one that got tackled down in Washington playing the Redskins.  It was a sad day for the Minnesota Vikings fans. Imagine one of the best players on the team getting injured  and come to find out he tore his ACL and MCL which causes most athletes their career.

When Adrian actually got out of surgery he stated that he would do anything that it took to be back for the next season. This just proves how dedication, hard work and a positive attitude can bring you to the point where no one thought AP could go.  He not only came back the next season but he came yards away from breaking 2,000 yards in a single season which got him the votes for the MVP of the year. I have to give him all the credit in the world. Adrian Peterson is a stud!
